Everyone deserves beautiful, healthy skin, and these days with new cosmetic treatments, you don’t need surgery to get it. Even if you sunbathed or neglected your skin when you were younger, I can improve your skin. But with so many treatment options on offer, it’s important you find an honest doctor with your best interests at heart.

You and your cosmetic doctor should be a team

You should choose a doctor who shares your aesthetic and philosophy of beauty, and you should feel like you are being listened to.

I like to look at my relationship with my patients as a partnership.

I’m the cosmetic medicine expert, but you’re the expert about your face and lifestyle. We not only need to work together to optimize results, but we also have to agree on what is beautiful and trust one another.

My philosophy of beauty is that “less is more.”

My goal is to optimize your natural beauty, and to achieve an apparently effortless, simple and timeless beauty that preserves the unique character of your face.

The best work is invisible. The best cosmetic work is work you can’t see.

Patients often tell me, “when I walk down the street I can spot someone who has had Botox.” I say that the only Botox you can see is badly-done Botox. Well done Botox, peels or filler should leave you guessing why your sister looks so well-rested, or why your friend has looked the same for the last ten years.

Good Botox has you hoping you’ll inherit your mother’s fabulous skin.

Good filler makes you notice your workmate’s beautiful smile rather than her new cheeks.

Training and experience is important

To get the best results, you should choose a doctor with recognised training and experience.

During my 16 years as a cosmetic doctor I’ve travelled the world to work with the best teachers. I completed the NZSCM Diploma of Cosmetic Medicine in 2006, and now train other doctors in New Zealand and lecture around the world.

I serve on the Executive Board and Education Committee of the NZ Society of Cosmetic Medicine, on the Botox, Juvederm and Belkyra Advisory Boards, and as New Zealand’s only MD Codes International Expert, working to improve standards and safety in cosmetic medicine.
